... back up again the building, pull down his pants and take a poop right there on the sidewalk! I alerted Paul and we both freaked out and crossed the street. But, like a car wreck, I had to look once more and this time I caught a full frontal and the man 'cleaned' himself with a newspaper! Let's just say that it will take a while before either Paul or myself get that image out of our heads!

Shoot, I am running out of time. ... which almost destroyed the bridge and the recent discovery of a (dead) shark in the Vlatva river. Bizarre. It's quite a way from the sea.Other stories centred around the world's second largest statue of Stalin - blown up in 1962 by Kruschev's order - and 1950s ice-skating on the river. Must have been bloomi' cold.Great views of the castle. Then an authentic Czech pub lunch a few streets back from the tourist thoroughfares. The group split in 3 with some returning home ...

... today which makes it less intense and okay if you get a little lost because then it becomes an adventure. The information lady at the train station was angry with us and no one seemed to want to help us find our train. Aparently it is normal in the more eastern countries to lose some of the customer service! We found our train and arrived in Kutna Hora hungry. We wandered around looking for a place that had an english menu on our way to the ...

... to middle level. From Trubsee and Jockpass, you can access the Engstlenalp and Tannalp valley. Good hiking. See my notes Hiking in Engelberg. Recommended in Walking Easy in the Swiss Alps. Altdorf (Uri) Altdorf is just off the main road that goes to the Gottard Tunnel (going through the Alps to Italy). We visited this town a couple of times in 2002 and loved the town, but I don't think it would be a good base for hiking. You have to drive out into the mountains to smaller ...

... a cake, only problem is that the legs where twice as long as would be proportional to the body, but it has red cowgirl boots... so everyone's a winner!! We get organised and pack up to leave at the crack of dawn for a long drive to Berlin tomorrow. We have dinner at the campsite and it was as appetising as the French camp toilet blocks... didn't even attempt to eat it after a trial bite, no wonder the whole thing with drinks cost us less than a bus fare in England, head off to bed.

... fun during our week of traveling revelry that their instant absence was like stepping inside after walking for a week in the middle of a windstorm. Cyclone Cissy and Hurricane Holyfield certainly left their mark, and after they headed for the airport, I was ready to call in the Red Cross to get rid of the ensuing headache and relentless cough that seemed to be taking hold. I did manage to hide my fever from Alli for a few hours, and we journeyed down more of Prague's streets ...

... army of 100,000. Our next stop was the Jewish quarter, situated just north of the old city. Jews were never as welcome in Bohemia as they were in Poland. Indeed, following a papal edit around 1200 stating that Jews were responsible for the death of Jesus Christ, Czech kings ordered all Jews to live generation after generation in a small Jewish quarter from which they could not emerge except to lend money on the outskirts of town. Later, when the edict was lifted, Jewish Czechs ...

Off to Check out Czech

Prague was one of the most highly recommended cities by everyone I know at home who has traveled Europe. As such, I had to go check it out during this trip. We managed to find a really cheap flight from Warsaw to Prague on Centralwings. However, they were in the process of canning this flight when we were planning to go, so we headed out with a flight there but no way home. Prague was hands down the most touristy city we have visited thus ...
