Finally, the sun has decided to shine on us; as we woke on the morning we were to arrive in Germany the sun came out making the drive to the ferry delightful and last!

After some confusion and asking locals (thankfully nearly everyone speaks English) I was able to get on another train that goes to the right station. ... out there' in stronger winds than we would like, particularly when we are still relatively new (this year) to sailing and we are not that practiced yet with sailing and handling the boat. Against that there was not much to do here so we were quite keen to move on, if possible. The morning, with its new forecast, would help us decide. ... propeller. So shiny that one of the Dutch boats commented on how wealthy we must be, using a gold propeller!! The next few days were spent preparing the boat, making endless excursions to the supermarket to stock up, especially with booze, as there is no way any of us (we will have many guests whilst in Norway) could afford Norwegian prices so we need to ensure that we have sufficient supplies. Only time will tell on that one….

The lady at the Adventure Travel Company on King St that sells the rail pass told me the ferry was included in the pass. I still wasn't sure and didn't want some train guard to try telling me something in German that the pass only works from the Denmark mainland.
