... and met by Fabio who was most helpful. We are back from the lake but up very high so have great views down to the lake and across to the snow capped mountains.
Began the morning by walking along the waterfront to Cernobbio (suburb)and checked out many a glamorous villa high on the hill overlooking the Lake. Called in to a local trattoria which clearly feeds all the local builders so they were far from interested in us being in ...

Leaving Milano, we started the day with Bergamo which is an ancient town about 40 km east of Milan we've been hearing a lot about. I have to admit that it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Maybe it's just me setting my expectation too high.

I can't even begin to explain how breathtaking Duomo is. It's truly one of the best churches I've ever seen and I'd strongly recommend you to see it at night. It's honestly stunning, the crown jewel of Milan.   The inside however wasn't as nearly good as ...

... OK, loved it so much he's going back for more on Thursday. Mike, Liz and I went to the village over the hill from Bellagio, Pescallo, quaint, cute, small and very nice. Then drove on to the supermarket (kind of) to stock up. Done. 3 days in and we now have food, and beer and wine! The day was spent in our garden soaking up the sun (the weather has been fantastic, 28-30 every day), ...
