This is another pretty lake. It's a little warmer than Taylor Lake, but we're still running the heater in the mornings. We're enjoying our walks around the lake. This time the water is warm enough that we plan to put the kayaks in. When we walk, we carry mosquito spray & bear spray. Haven't seen any bears, but tons of mosquitoes! Glad we brought the screened-in ...

Although the conditions weren't prime, I got a free ticket, so no complaints here. Bring on the ...

... on the trail that we met the day before. They are on their way down and we visit for a few minutes. They were funny and told good stories.
2:10 - Continue on the trail. The Upper Cascade Falls is only 3 miles from the trail head. I think to myself, this shouldn't be too bad. I used to run 3 miles before work with my sister.
2:30 - Had to go to the bathroom. Not fun in the woods.
2:45 - Stopping along the trail to take pictures - no joke, it so beautiful!
