Early start today – I was up at 5.30 with the lion roars! In fact, each time I seemed to be awake in the night I heard either lion or hyena calling! Due to this we knew the lions were close, but even so they still could be anywhere! We left camp at 6.30, when the gates opened, and decided to turn right, mainly because the sun was rising to the left and we also thought (and hoped) the lions were that way!
