... don't speak (English / Chinese). 6. When the foreigner doesn't understand us, we talk louder or try writing it down. We've all seen the Americans who start talking louder and slower in English as if the foreign tourist will somehow understand them. Yep, same thing with the Chinese. 7. As a tourist in the others country, we're frustrated with their take on our dishes. Good luck finding a decent, non-fast food burger or pizza in China. And I would imagine most Chinese's idea of ...

... The market was selling so many interesting things! We wandered and looked at all the neat things for sell. Auntie Rachel even bought a few gifts for friends back home. The people at the market were very nice.

I loved being outside in the mountains. It reminded me of the mountains at Noami's home in Montana.

It is time say my prayers and go to sleep. Good ...

... they introduced me to the student body, and asked that I give a speech. Aahhh! Thankfully, I had a translator, so they could better understand my (very) short speech. Principal Gu then followed with a formal welcome, and the students cheered rather loudly for me. There are nearly 3000 students, so you can imagine how loud their applause was. IAs I walked across the campus during the day ...
