The sea side town of Mar del Plata
Only spending a day in Buenos Aries I was looking forward to heading away from the capital and seeing elsewhere in Argentina as I was meant to fly out of BA on the 9th of February and I thought I could see more before I left. Our tour had finished and many of us from the tour group were stuck with the thought of what next. So after Buenos Aires, I stayed in Mar del Plata with a couchsufer named Sergio. He is a psychology student and works with trouble youth in a really bad neighborhood. I had the opportunity to go with him one day.
The kids are into Morga. Which is a style of street drumming music based in the Buenos Aires area. They showed me some of their rhythms and their instructor played guitar as well, and knew BLUES!!!! So ...
