Willie and Kath came up for a few day's at half term in October, to catch up with Sid and Debbie and to get a wee rest if that is possible with two small children!! They went on a pumkin hunt at Blenheim but did not tdo the hunt , instead they had a fish and chip picnic in the park, and ran around with the kids all afternoon. ... Bodleian Library on...book binding. It sounds really boring, but there were some pretty beautiful book covers, I would say. Speaking of the Bodleian, I am currently enrolled in the study abroad class for 3 extra credit hours to do a 20-page research paper. I had been waiting until Oxford to begin the paper, since I had to write play reviews in London and I wanted to take advantage of the massive collection of books that the Bodleian houses. ... On to Evensong at Magdalene College with another beautiful offering of music and prayers followed by dinner at Quod, a rather starkly modern restaurant in the Old Bank Hotel. We were back at the room shortly after eight, wishing for a cup of decaffeinated coffee. There are some comforts of home that we miss.

... time these 4 months are concluded. Once a day, we all tend to cram into the kitchen to attempt something edible and then squeeze 5 chairs around a 4 person table. I love the sweet faces that greet me in the morning, and coerce me to venture outside after 10 minutes of bundling. ... of the weekend, though, was the Fresher's Fair on Sunday, with hundreds of booths hosting more clubs, groups, teams, and events that one couldn't imagine exist. The spoils: 1 coffee mug (received after the fair with entry ticket), 2 condoms, 4 pens, 1 pencil, 1 ethernet cord, 3 lanyards, 1 concert ticket, 1 eraser, 1 ruler and 1 nail file. It was crazy in there! Five rooms plus two really large tents packed full of very confused freshers. Sorry I don't have more to tell...

... off by the day and our lives are slowly falling into place again. I can't wait to start travelling again and might look at planning a backpacking trip soon here as I would love to take off into the woods for a couple days. I missed our yearly backpacking trip and can't wait to get a long weekend or something down the line to ditch off and maybe hit the hills of Scotland or something like that. Defiantly miss my mountains though but I'm sure I will find some new ones to climb all over.
