    ... stench in the kennels was overpowering. A very large dog had been sick everywhere and other dogs had done other unmentionable things in their kennels so it ponged. Treacle actually seemed reasonably happy and when talking to other dog owners we concluded we were more stressed than most of the dogs.     ... route marker signs. We walked on dirt tracks, through vineyards (literally) and we even sampled some of the grapes that had yet to be harvested. They were sweet and succulent. On and on we hiked.
    The trial took us 7 hours, including an hour stop for lunch. It was 35km!!!!
    When we returned, sore and exhausted, we checked the brochure. The first half of the booklet was devoted to walking trails and the second half ...

    ... so sat down and ordered. Served very quickly, Food was great and had lovely bottle of local red (tempranillo) and were quite satisfied even though we had been ostrasized from the outside world. Another couple were shown in just as we were leaving. Walked back through main restaurant and it was packed! Decided we weren' t too smelly ( we had showered) or wrongly dressed - we just hadn't booked and were too early! It was only 9 pm!

    ... room I have no idea how we all fit. Finally we sat, started with a delicious salad, followed by potatoes and lamb. So needless to say I did not eat much which was fine.
