Walked down to square - not a soul in sight (was packed the night before) - it was Sunday morning but by 10.30 thought someone would be around.     ... of the city and it only went on Thursday's and as I was scheduled to leave on Wednesday I was screwed. The woman at the office made me a map and told me to go to the bus station and pick any of three towns and just go there. So I went back to my hotel and asked (for a second opinion) to see if they could help by phoning around for me to see if there was any little guides going to the wineries but they couldn't find anyone, suggesting I try the bus.     ... The stone cottages and buildings are just beautiful and so old and quaint! Some belonged to Counts that have tall stone fences surrounding them. Small narrow paths and small hilly roads wind around and you see all sorts of lovely views of the green hills revealed as you pop around the corners! We saw lots of Spanish Villages on the way to Ollauri but this is one of the oldest in the area. Tony met up with relatives and friends he hasn't seen for years (30 or so!) ...

    ... this day - Day 7 /(Sunday) was going to be hot and long. Los Arcos to Logrono 30k approx and in temperatures 33 so I set my alarm packed my rucksack the night before and set off at 6:00am. This beat the heat and I travelled to a little town (about 20k) called Viana. Here we sat and had coffees and something to eat. I had set off early so no breakfast.
