... with auto and GPS for free. BONUS. Off we go driving on the right side of the road. Roundabouts are interesting because you go around the anti clockwise which doesn't sound a big deal until you have to change 37 years of doing it one way. We set the GPS to take us to Ypres in Belgium with no freeways, highways or toll roads. Once we get out of Lille, we are out in the French countryside which is beautiful. Our hotel..the Crown Plaza Bruges, is right in the center of the Burg square, the site of a 9th century castle and where you can view 6 centuries of different architecture. The hotel was nice, it actually contained 2double beds..a treat in my opinion! I am usually the one sleeping on the hump ...

... We then moved round to the moorings for smaller boats which were off the main canal but not sheltered from the wash of the big barges. Just thank goodness they don’t run at night. By 6pm we were tied up for the night and John had a Pimms and lemonade to celebrate our arrival in Belgium and Isi had a rose wine. We went for a walk after dinner and it is a lovely town with a castle and a church with 3 spires. ...
