On Tuesday morning, sleep deprived and mildly hungover, Mitch and I decided that standing in Paris' longest line was the best possible idea. So we hopped the RER down to Denfert Rocehreau, to wait for 2+ hours for entry to the catacombs. I'd never done this before (someone had evidently told me about the line). ... Monet's House and Garden in Giverny. It is so much larger than I imagined and absolutely beautiful. He lived here for 40 years and his house is very modest with a bright blue kitchen, a bright yellow kitchen, a studio type room with his paintings all sitting on wall ledges of different heights, other famous painters' paintings, and many Japanese sketches which I imagine he was very fond of.
