    ... before the coach finally rolled in, albeit with a sick, overflowing toilet... 8 hours and another 3 countries later (Germany, Brussels, France) we limped into Paris around midnight. Once we made it into our hotel room (thankfully only 20m from the Metro station) we opened the iPad only to send a quick message to our friend Andres Tamme who we were to meet up with the following day, to find messages from other friends anxious to hear of our whereabouts following the shocking news ...

    ... and you are not allowed to walk on the grass.. The gardens lead through to the Louvre and it was a must to pose in front of the Louvre to prove that I had been there and then after the Louvre photo shoot we walked the length of Louvre until we happened on the shop we wanted. Bought tickets, strolled home, slowly, slowly, buying crepes on the way for our tea.

    ... and sculptures on the walls and ceilings. Tracked down the Mona Lisa, didn't get to close though, Asian tourists were built up about 6metres deep. Seen more of Leonardo DaVinci's work then headed to lunch as we were quite peckish by this stage. After lunch we walked through the garden behind the louvre which was so beautiful.     Our second day in Paris was spent travelling the other two routes on the hop-on hop-off bus.

    The main route was the superstar route and took us down the Champs Elysee, to the Arc de Triomphe.
