No, not the black death of yesteryear, but the beach!
Seems like a long journey to get here. Ever since arriving in France we’ve been ‘heading south’ with the goal of arriving at the Medeterranian Sea. Then the last few days of leaving the Pyrenees was very slow indeed. We tried to take the canal we loved soo much before Tolouse to find that it was only a tiny dirt footpath with lots of large roots as obsticals. We ...
... nice because I hadn't seen him in a while. Clement is the closest thing I have to a real childhood friend (sorry Tim, but we met when we were 12 so you are my real teenagehood friend, okay?) from elementary school. His father owns a restaurant in town so we'd have a blast eating and drinking there for free. We caught up on so much lost time and reminsced about the things we'd do when we were kids. I think that every time we see each other we ...
Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France jdcabanel... BUT the info we got for the campsite was wrong and it was closed.. and the one next door too. So a rushed internet trip we found one, way out and got there just in time. France is full of red lights, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings!!!! Im SOOOOO over them all!!!!
Got to the campsite and there were no buses in town,. We were exhausted by then so fell into bed and decided to give up on that part of France and head to Lyon the next day...
... of the dishes (which were written in a flowery script that made the names even harder to decipher), and the waiter struggled to translate. So we thought, well it’ll all be good, and none of it seemed to be brains or tripe, so we each ordered one option of all three courses. One of the first courses was no longer available so we both had a salmon dish. Now I’ve eaten a lot of salmon but this was the best ever – firm ...

Samedi: Ouidah
... the tropics and needless to say have the prices to prove it. But it's still fun to see them. The wine section of the store is enormous as you might expect and wonderful. That's the ONE cheap thing in France that is really good! The wine! For less than 6 bucks you can get a really good bottle of wine. Currently, among the "normal" food items we also have in our intoxicator: frog legs, various duck parts, stinky cheeses, various pig parts in the shape of sickly sausages that ...
Montpellier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France gracielastanley... I could find again. Something to the effect -- you have to go back to someplace you used to be, in order to measure how you've changed. Well that will really be true in about a week. Back to where I used to be, to see how I've changed. To see what's changed. The house got new phones. What else will be different? Stores closed or opened, buildings built.. friends and family all a year older and perhaps ...

Montpellier, France gez_skip... I was born in a factory, maybe in China, maybe in Forcella (Napoli), I ignore it. I have been living the first months of my life in a box. We were a lot, all shining, but we couldn't know as there was no sun. Then, one day a voice came. It was always a different voice coming from far. This voice used to bring with her one of us. One says that going with that voice meant getting a kind of Nirvana, because, in that occasion we would have reached ...
