Lazy Sunday ride to Lubeck
Had a great night's sleep and went down for my formule1 style breakfast, yogurt, toast and marmalade and two cups of the strongest coffee yet. Looked at of the window and it was raining hard again.. oh well full wet weather gear again...trying to get my over trousers on is always fun, at least it entertained those still having their breakfast..
A Short Hop up the Coast
... with large power boats in evidence everywhere and apartment complexes and hotels spread along the sandy foreshore. After lunch, in the peculiar weather which was chill, grey and very humid, we set off for a walk along the paved pedestrianized walkway up the coast. This stretches for a couple of miles and all along are shops, restaurants, ice cream parlours, hotels and apartment blocks ...
A Lazy Day
We're now pretty much in the wind-down stages of this year’s trip and the same applies to the blog. In fact I have decided that once we return to Burgstaaken on Fehmarn and we’re back at base, there is little point in continuing, I will summarise the last week in a final entry on or about 2nd September. Until then, on with the blog but there is not a lot to report.

Great Sailing
... planned on 3 loads, including Helen's sleeping bag but we had the decency to let her continue to use it until absolutely necessary! We hoped to get the washing dry on the line so that we could stow it away after Helen’s departure, enabling us to move on to our next harbour, Neustadt. It was breezy and sunny so the plan should have worked.

Last day with Helen
... first one then stopped and turned around, necessitating the following boat to manoeuvre and of course, us, but it was entertaining being so close to the rear end of a large ship (see photo).
Once back in harbour, we saw that Odile was still there, albeit only just as Andy was busy with his warps. They were there long enough to enable us to raft alongside and for me to seek permission from ...
