... together. The kids have been sneaking them all night now! Everything is good here but I am starting to miss my family even more with the holidays coming closer. Haunkukah is next week and the kids are getting antsy so I'm learning more and more about the holiday everyday now. Judaism is actually quite interesting to learn about and I'm sure I'm getting a better learning experience than most because the family I live with is very orthodox in their practices unlike most Jewish families today.

... living with Jews? It's like living with any other family except for the fact that there are some dietary considerations. Kosher meat is not easy to find so I've basically become a vegetarian. If we do eat meat we have separate dishes that we use because meat and dairy are not to be mixed. Reason? The Torrah says not to "boil a child in it's mothers milk". If they eat meat they wait six hours before consuming dairy, I don't follow this rule. Mostly we eat ...

(incidentally it is legal to drink on the street here in Germany so the revelers would cart the cases around on a wagon and drink to their hearts content. And when the beer was gone it was time to go into one of the numerous bars in the square set up for the festivities.)
