We called in here mainly to watch the daily catch of fish arrive. It's quite an event and the local council has built a viewing platform for the sole (sorry) purpose. Around 4.30 every afternoon, a couple of hundred people stand on the platform to see the flotilla of fishing boats arrive ...

Who would believe but we finally have caught a fish!
we we're having a gentle sail and decided to give trolling a go and by sheer luck and not design we caught a lovely mackerel (which we had for breakfast the next morning).
those of you that have followed or heard about our previous adventures know that we are absolutely useless at catching fish.

We had a pretty nice sail to Concarneau not a long passage from Loctudy.
We've decided to exercise our chill days here.
There's not much to the town other than the old town within fortified walls, but it is atmospheric.
We basically wandered around and visited the Museum of fishing which was, believe it or not, very good.
... pleasant i.e. not dry, so we turned around and went back to the boat. We had read in some, but not all, guides that we could get the boat just before the town, so we tried. We ran aground a couple of times and definitely created a new channel ploughing through (scrapping off the anti-fouling on the keel) until we finally gave up and dropped the hook mid channel.
