... summer period but still accessible over a lowish fence. Everything was unlocked, access to toilets and showers was easy if somewhat fraudulent, although the water was cold. The next morning, Saturday the 14th of September, still blighted by engine troubles on the van we slowly drove back to Autry and arrived mid afternoon, parking up back under the old oak tree in the meadow, ready to tackle whatever the next few months may hold.

... being a Sunday, the buses were infrequent and wouldn’t get me to the station in time, so I spent the rest of the afternoon lounging about and caught a later train instead.     ... room snacks from a supermarket ,fruit, cheese, salmon etc. We then went to Bordeaux , where we found parking with difficulty. The centre is like any city, e.g. Oxford street. It had large buildings, parks, shopping centres ( like London ). We found an evening antique market in a park which was great but we never bought a thing! After a coffee we returned to the hotel but washed the car on the way. Diesel needed tomorrow but is about 1.29 euros per litre which is better than the ...

    ... with 3 sets of bunks no room to swing a flea let alone a cat !!! Attached Tina pub it had been advertised as new ... Well done on the cheap the blind falling down in the middle of the night. However beautiful wild cliffs to walk and a day to trip to beautiful Saint Ives ... Busy place we even had a little bit of rain here. Two noisy nights later off to Bath .. What a contrast beautiful old historic building up on a hill above Bath. A walk along the canals to watch ...
