    ... missed walking up the towers but Liyana came over and we had wine and she cooked us some confit duck out of a can! It was amazing we fired up some potatoes in duck fat as well it was the best meal ever! We stayed up late talking and catching up, it was great to see her again I'm so glad that we were able to make it down to Bordeaux and see her I just wish we could have stayed ...

    ... We boarded a TGV train, 1st class to Paris. Speeding through the countryside, quaint villages centuries old, bare harvested paddocks resting until the next growth season, remnants of an aqueduct, more truly beautiful chateaux and vineyards, wind farms and then the realisation of modernity as we approach Paris.

    We're looking forward to spending some time with Narelle, John and little Sophie who are travelling to Paris from Norway today to see us.
