... Saint Emilion .... BEAUTIFUL! The town is full of gorgeous old buildings, narrow streets, vineyards and stunning chateaus. We explored at our own pace here, and sat down for a beautiful lunch right in the middle of the town, surrounded by the many of the old buildings. Will definitely be bringing our parents back here when they come over! Next trip was to the Great Dune du Pyla. Again, a 45 minute drive from Bordeaux, but heading towards the coast. ... rugby game, UBB vs Brives. The stadium was packed full of just under 29,000 people, people cheering and chanting, drums in the background. We considered the price a bit high but it covered two meals and a small tour of that part of ...

Ok, enough of aires we’re off to stay in a real campsite on the outskirts of Bordeaux for a few days. The rain has been pretty horrendous so we are hoping to see the sunshine a little further south…..Arrived at the site about 1pm and we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was for a city site and only 14 per night! On Monday we caught the tram into the city centre, this was also a bargain, an all ...

... drew, we talked about each other's travel destinations, and she gave me some tips on how I too can draw and paint like her "it's not hard" she said. It occurred to me, these drawings and paintings are like her photographs of their trip.

It was time to leave to move on to the next Chateaux and as we were boarding the bus again, Tania tore out a page of her small pad, handed it and an Artline pen to me and said "just give it a go". She was ...
