Arrivederci Italy, Bonjour La France

A travel blog entry by helenandchris

A final farewell to Italy today as we head back to France. Perhaps we will now get a break from taking photos of roman numerals for Hamish to send to Tom P?

As we left the gorgeous town of Levanto, the owners of the small B and B handed us an unlabelled bottle of their home brew white wine. Obviously Chris' wine tasting session with the elderly non-English speaking Father of the owner went down well - language clearly no barrier when it comes to ...

Expensive bit of coastline

Today was another day of lots of walking which we enjoyed as it meant being able to check out this very beautiful coastline. It's always nice to be near the water and particularly when it is as gorgeous as this.

6. You are allowed to drink in public.
7. There are so many cute neighborhoods and cafes. The city really grows on you when you recover from culture shock.

On the 6 hour train ...

A travel blog entry by chungs

The paella was actually more flavorful after a day as the rice absorbed more flavor from the sauce. When we were done eating, I wanted to go for a walk as my legs were feeling very weak and I needed to get better circulation for my legs. So Kit and I walked across a bridge over the highway to a resting area on the other side. There was only one ...
