      Great One Star Stay

Aware that two dorm beds often cost more than a private hotel room, Lyndi and I walked just left of the train station upon arrival in Florence and found Hotel Ester to be exactly what we were looking for. Taking up the second floor (or the "2th" Floor as they say...) it had a mini refrigerator, comfortable bed and even a little patio - plus a computer right in the room with free internet! All for 40 Euro! Highly recommended.

... on Monday and the museum is closed they were letting in all women for free today so not only did we have the gallery practically to ourselves we only had to pay for Nick to go in - beginning to love Florence!!!!

After seeing the marvelous David, the detail is amazing. I must admit I did find it quite funny that the wall seats are all at the back of the statue and it was mainly women sitting on them - me included!!

We then wandered through Florence ...
