Aware that two dorm beds often cost more than a private hotel room, Lyndi and I walked just left of the train station upon arrival in Florence and found Hotel Ester to be exactly what we were looking for. Taking up the second floor (or the "2th" Floor as they say...) it had a mini refrigerator, comfortable bed and even a little patio - plus a computer right in the room with free internet! All for 40 Euro! Highly recommended.

Only four were up for the walk and we hit the Metro for our first stop which was the Church of Trinita Dei Monti at the top of the Spanish Steps. Great views over Rome. Next …

... you ask for it, don't wait for the server to come to you. I accept that. That's their way and I respect Europeans for it. They have a more independent way about them. We had some delightful servers in Iceland, Spain and in other cities in Italy. But the ones in Florence were down right huffy. I'll shut up now...

It's sixt forty five in the mornig and I am waiting for the bus to pisa airport so I figured I might as well start myJournal. Ifin has really come in handy for music and the notes features . I slept for three hours not because I went out but because of the fact of life that when you hve to wake up early (especially to call a taxi via phone a foreign country where you don't speak the language catch an hour bus ride to Pisa wait in the circus show of a line ...
