... seemed thrilled I finally found a carpet, and I was very happy to finally find what I wanted. In celebration, Bahman told me it was time to go down the street to a little teahouse for tea. Fine by me. So we said our goodbyes and walked out of the carpet shop and to the teahouse. The teahouse was down a set of stairs from street level, through a door and down another set of steps. Ready for an afternoon tea we headed for the Ferdossi Grand Hotel. I have to say the tea was fine but the service was ****, especially for a supposedly international standard hotel. We literally had to drag the waiters away from their shisha to take our order!

... if either my thumb or jaw were any more injured. I'm not sure that I could have carried on.

It was very sobering and actually made me grumpy for a day or so. It is several days since that happened. My thumb still hurts and is actually only about 50 percent. Though I am anticipating that it will recover fully. Especially with a few days rest in Tehran.
