... suit everyone. We ended up near fisherman's wharf at Boudins, a famous sour dough bread bakery, and fast food style gourmet lunch. We queued up to order wrap style tortillas, filled with fish and coriander, lime, salsa... it was very good. Kids had chicken of course. All were happy.
Next stop was the mechanical museum. This cleaned us out or all coins we had, and some, as we played the old time penny arcade games.
We caught the bus home, after a stop at trader Joe's for some ...

... a village of 8000 people with very fancy houses, boats and art galleries. In the bright sunshine, it looked great and we had a fantastic lunch looking out over the bay at Angel Island (where the Japanese immigrants were sent after pearl Harbor.

... in the city, having spent the morning touring more residential neighbourhoods. There were hoards of Chinese tourists photographing the road, as well as car after car full of tourists driving down the hill. Quite a sight. By this time our tummies were really starting to rumble so we made our way to the Italian area, North Beach. We'd read about a deli, Molinari's, famous for its tasty sandwiches. So I left my cousin's home in Chicago and I headed for the 'Frisco bay.... A four hour flight from the land of snow and ice dropped me off in the far more agreeable climate of California. A temperate twenty degrees or so.
