    ... So the comedy was the policeman speaking Italian to the drunk, the drunk speaking Spanish to Ricky and Ricky speaking English to Lucy. Rita knows more French than English and Noah has been taking French in school. So, at one point we had Alfio saying something in Italian, Rita saying it in French, then Noah giving the translation. Another highlight was receiving a copy of a letter that Guiseppe had written in the 1940s ...

    Saying goodbye to Positano was bittersweet. We would love to spend more time here, but more adventures await. Our journey today takes us to the Abruzzo region of Italy via: 1. The bus to Sorrento. Not a bad ride, but taking a bus with all of your luggage? Non buona. 2. Walking to the Avis rental place. You know, that one that says it is a 10 minute stroll from the bus stop? 40 minutes and 2 semi helpful Sorrentinos later, we get there. All done with luggage. ...

    ... down on Positano before heading back through the wiggly roads through the mountains. After driving back through Naples we drve right accross Italy to a farmhouse in a olive orchard where we were staying the night. We visited a seafood shop on the fishing wharf and Dad bought oysters and mussels and scallops which mum cooked up for dinner. The farmhouse was a little rough but we spent the night planning some of the other destinations to follow. Good Night for now. - Grace

    For dinner we had basil pesto pasta for dinner, followed by beans and carrots in vinegar and a dried meat with parmesan cheese. I can't remember what it was called, but it tasted a bit like corned beef but really thin.

    There was a big match on the TV last night. One of the local Torino teams vs a Rome team for the Italy football cup. We settled down to cheer their team to victory.
