      Happy Christmas and thank you

Well I have been back for over a week now. This extraordinary experience is beginning to fade now I am in this new chapter.

I am so grateful and humbled by the whole experience. As I spend Christmas with cherished friends and dear family, I realise just how lucky I am.

The support I have had from really wonderful people who are kind and caring also humbles me. This entry is for them to say a huge THANK YOU.

      HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

      SEE YOU NEXT TIME.....;)

... road of the world. I hope you have all enjoyed sharing some of my adventures through this blog. I know I have certainly enjoyed writing it and even more so the adventures and senses that lay behind the writing. I have now had over 4,000 hits for this blog which I find amazing so thanks to those that have spent the time to keep up to date with what I have been doing this past year. My blog says I have covered over 26,000 miles in the last year and I reckon I ...

... about 40 mph when the road becomes two lanes and right away I'm off into the right lane and heading passed all the cars and the slow truck. To my surprise not a single car pulled out to overtake. Were they afraid of the cop car or what?? They are sitting at a steady 40 and as far as I know the speed limit is 60 so what the hell?? After a slow run in the rain along the A68 I finally turn off onto the small B road to Coldstream and Newcastle. This wonderful road is just ...

... After the tour we had a light lunch at the cafe then drove onto Durham. The A1 was diverted at Berwick on Tweed via the A682 to where it joined the A1 just before Newcastle. Very nice farming areas with lots of hay making and sheep. Found the accommodation but no meals Sunday so had to walk 10 mins to a hotel. On coming back to the inn we had a great conversation with people in the ...

Day 16 Coventry to York to Newcastle

A travel blog entry by ttdaniel on Sep 03, 2014

... It seemed nice but I would have preferred to stay in York.

Tonight there are 3 coach lines booked at our hotel. The restaurant was busy for dinner. We were offered a 3 course meal with 3 options to choose from for starters, main and sweets. The restaurant was full and very busy. We shared a table with 2 Scottish old biddies who were hilarious! They had us in tears of laughter for a couple of hours. The restaurant had vacated and ...
