      ... After the tour we had a light lunch at the cafe then drove onto Durham. The A1 was diverted at Berwick on Tweed via the A682 to where it joined the A1 just before Newcastle. Very nice farming areas with lots of hay making and sheep. Found the accommodation but no meals Sunday so had to walk 10 mins to a hotel.       ... still listening to their stories. They were from Glasgow. One of the ladies was obsessed and very proud of Glasgow and reminded us regularly our holiday wouldn't be complete if we didn't visit Glasgow.
