... and water….. Man, that was rough.

We woke up before 3 am after fitful sleeps to get ‘er done and catch a cab to the airport at 4 am. We stopped through O’hare on the way to Newark. We’re staying at my college buddy’s place in New York’s Upper East Side. (Thanks Darrin!).

After all the worries, we have no regrets and look forward to the journeys that lay ahead.

... and it turned out to be the capital of Wisconsin with a population of over 250,000! So no wonder the 5pm traffic was bad, and it got a lot worse as we got closer to the city. A quick internet search (thanks AT&T) found a good priced motel at the next exit and so we crossed a few lanes and quickly found the motel! ... children's clothes boutique, American Indian jewelry, and an Oriental rug shop. The smell of wool drew us in. Rolled up rugs of all sizes lined the walls. We talked to the Iranian owners. All the rugs were from Iran. The woman talked to me about getting braces for herself. She thought her teeth were changing. She was hesitant about getting them because of how she would look.
