Departed Lauhans and headed back to Pont de Vaux over the next couple of days. Spent 2 nights in Pont de Vaux, refuelled and stocked up then headed for Lyon -3 days cruising south.
Met our first really big lock and handled it superbly. Stopped for the night at Macon and woke there to the sounds of the markets right next door to our mooring. Headed to Lyon -Frances 3rd ...
... I think I've spent 150 euro in last two days. Though the coming countries should get cheaper.
One tour left early Saturday morning and another rocked up in the arvo. We showed them how to get rowdy. Lol. Apparently our little group is pretty wild. The tour manager, Scott, is pretty happy about that. Says he has not partied this much in a while. He's pretty good fun too. Likes a bit of a drink.
The GoPro did the rounds last ...
... quite violently. But we survived and pottered down the rest of the canal at a stately 4 mph.
Invited to Alan and Shiela's boat for drinks and nibbles which turned into getting quite sloshed. An enjoyable way to end the day.
We are taking it easy over the next couple of days and then heading on our first foray down the canals, up the Saone, and onto the Sellie River heading to Louhans. Quite the little adventurers.

... romantic garden" about halfway down that you walk through to get to the other bridge. It is a beautiful day, bright and sunny, about 70 degrees. We walked up into town and then down the main street. There are many shops along the way. Shoe shops seem to predominate in every town. I suppose people do a lot of walking here. And of course, there is the requisite flower stall on almost every corner.
