Headed off from Nasville this morning after piking out last night. We went to grab some dinner at an Applebee's Bar & Grill before heading to a bar with live music near the motel, After a steak and shrimp with mashed potatos and a couple of Mango flavoured cocktails, I was all done in and could barely waddle my way back to the motel. Only drinking water and eating fruit for the rest of the trip. I ...

The GPS chatters away telling you how far, where to turn and if you make a mistake her favorite word is "recalculating". I say 'she' because the Garmin uses a soothing female voice. I suppose Garmin does that so when their information is incorrect it helps keep one calm.

... Not sure how I'm going to fill the rest of my time. I guess I'll find something to do.
Fly out of the Azores on Thursday night (9/17), have an overnight in Lisbon, and get home Friday night.
I hope to post some updates and pics every night. Should be posted no later than 7 pm EST every night unless I'm out to the wee hours of the am.

According to my informational magazine in the hotel (the one I'm reading in the photo...) army guys Sherman and Grant plotted a battle together in the hotel. That hotel burned to the ground and was replaced in 1869, only to be torn down in 1921. Al J ...
Louisville, Kentucky, United States lauren.warnecke... as that's all i plan on taking aside from my laptop/electronic backpack...Chad in general is anxious and nervous...kind of endearing...he's never been out of the country (not even Mexico and Canada, which in my book don't count anyway)...watching his eyes open to the world...the varying languages, cultures, real European food and the history or art is what I think will be most entertaining this time around....though ...
Louisville, Kentucky, United States whoisjohngalt... New River Gorge on our way through WV because some of the suggestions I had gotten mentioned that it would be beautiful. I had looked it up online and it did looked like it would be a great place to stop. It also looked like timing-wize it might be lunchtime when we got there. Our friend, Neesa, mentioned that every time she drove through that particular area it was always raining or snowing so to be very careful on our drive there.

Oh the wonders of nature and nature-stream restoration projects I volunteer on. Bernheim offers an abundance of programs for schools and families that educate and allow you to help conserve some nature!
Also, this park has many, many hiking trails. Yay hiking! We all know how much I love that. :)
... basis. It was really neat because the people that we joined had rented out a box on the sixth floor and so I felt like a celebrity! There were twelve races in all and out of all of the races that I had bet on, I only won $5. Betting on horses is apparently not my thing!
I also went to the Louisville Sluggers factory. This was very cool and I got to see Babe Ruth's old bat as well as ...
... as being warm and delicious chocolate delicacy as well as addictive. No wonder as a kid was i totally intrigued by them. now here is my opportunity to live out that dream. (sad that i remember my dream of experiencing Turkish Delights rather than becoming president or something more lofty.) Hopefully i will not suffer the same fate as Edward after he stuffed himself silly and was held captive by the Queen....in a Turkish prison perhaps? okay so ...
