Today we made a quick visit to Mexico. A 230Km from San Antonio, Laredo is located (USA), and Nuevo Laredo (Mexico), separated by the famous Rio Grande. We parked the car in Laredo and after a brief visit, we crossed the border on foot, how exciting. Upon our arrival to Mexico, and after paying 75 cents, the street was plenty of Mexicans waiting there to offer ...
... until Alpine. we saw the marfi lights and where going to see them tonight. On the way back yesterday when we were coming to the rv mamaw got pulled over by the cops. She was going a little too fast, but was only warned! Papaw might be doing all the driving from now on.
I have questions to answer from Carlene and Aunt Cindy, but i will do that tomorrow, when I have more time!!
... rv, waiting for help. . At 7:50 someone came to help change the tire. Papaw cooked dinner in the microwave while we waited. . I lost my tooth while eating a piece of candy. We limped into Laredo and stayed in the walmart parking lot our first night. They came back to finish the tire at 7:45 a.m. the next morning. We walked to burger king for breakfast, then we had to buy 4 more tires.
Laredo, Texas, United States jacobsims... to a taxi stand. I hadn't been to Nuevo Laredo in probably around 5 years or so, and I had heard it had become very dangerous. But everything was fine and went very smoothly. After a $5 cab ride to the Bus Station, we got our tickets and waited to board. The bus station was very nice, and the buses are too. I am really surprised how easy it was to get over into Mexico, and wonder if we may actually have more trouble getting back into the states. -Homero - Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
Nuevo Laredo, Mexico hrsanchez... chairs and a nice fireplace. This town was pretty peacefull until the trains pulled through at all hours of the night and day, hooting their loud horns at the level crossings. Next stop was Amistead lake near Del Rio Where we stayed a night for $4 on the lake, the wind was blowing so we moved on again the next day, heading South East along the border. We hit Laredo on the 23rd and inched our way through ...
Laredo, Texas, United States mcgregors5... After dinner we set out to find a motel for the night and saw a real cool fifties looking place called the Beverly Crest that reminded us of the Hollywood motel in 'The World's Fastest Indian' where Burt is befriended by the cross-dressing desk clerk. Unfortunately there was no vacancy and we would stay at the Hawaiian Royale next door that was a bit run down, but after a long day of driving we just needed a place to crash.

There had recently been a carnival in town there were still rides and amusments in the town square. Next we retired to a palapa on the roadside and enjoyed ...
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... I was waved through at the new checkpoint and then I pulled over and stopped before getting back on the highway. I remembered that I had forgotten to place a pin in the towbar hitch, so I improvised one from a carriage bolt and two nuts jammed together. I had plenty of time and there was no need to hurry, but the truck seemed to be happy towing along at sixty five miles an hour, so I let her go. We pulled off at exit 120 and made a gas stop at Devine, Texas before turning onto ...
Laredo, Texas, United States trialsrider... challenging indeed, at least until it had been ridden on a few times. The trail that Carson had cleared during Thanksgiving weekend was lots of fun and could be be used a variety of ways. I was able to get in a good three hours of riding before it started to get dark. I was also getting pretty tired and it seemed like a wise idea to put the bike up. Sander arrived and we walked down to the end of the trial and I showed him the new section I had made. He could tell by ...
