... famous. After dinner we headed up to the top floor of a nearby parking garage to photograph sunset and I stayed late to shoot star trails with coir tower. One of the men in the workshop really knows the Olymos camera system and he was showing me some tricks for long exposure.

... Ferry building for an early dinner before the Alcatraz night tour. I loved the ferry ride - we circled Alcatraz on the way there, and the city looked great from the water. It must have looked tantalizingly close to the prisoners. The buildings are certainly showing their age and huge restoration works are underway.
