... It was really enjoyable and our pilot was a lot of fun. The flight was about 15 mins and he took us all over Vegas, up the strip, to old Vegas and flew us around the big tower thingy. We went back to the Bellagio for dinner because there are 20 restaurants here and a lot of slot machines everywhere. ... inspiring then walked across the Potomac bridge back to Washington Monument. Being Sunday, the place was pretty busy and weather still warm but comfortable. Clouds moved in and out later in the afternoon to give me some interesting light on the monuments. See photos.

Just before we arrived in Washington there had been a breach of the White House perimeter. A war veteran had managed to jump the fence and actually get into an unlocked door. As a consequence they have increased security around the White House.
