Had a good trip yesterday, the majority of it was on the A75 which is dual carriageway, unfortunately using local roads would have taken far too long. The road was fairly quiet but as the altitude increased so did the thickness of fog which we were in for about 30 miles then we were back in brilliant sunshine. Looking out of the van window now the sunshine is about to continue today.

... one on this road - Travel time was about 3 hours - Well worth it!! Great village set on a small harbour with numerous inlets and grottoes close by. when we drove in there was a HUGE car park and after circumnavigating the village via one way streets , that's where we ended up! Packed overnight bags as we had seen signs to our accommodation, but there is no parking in the town and most accommodations you reach by foot! When we reached Hostel Vehi ...

After a lovely breakfast outside under the grapevine covered pergola and the temperature heading for 26C we set off for the beach but dropped into the Chateau Valmy on route. This is a real fairy tale place, white turrets and spires designed by a Danish archetect in a an art noveaux style. The family made their money from developing the famous ...
