... badly. We made our way up Bear Notch Road to the 302 where we stopped at the Bartlett covered bridge shop. We had stopped here on our first trip years ago. They have the most adorable stuff and I bought a fabulous metal owl sculpture. We tried to get some pics from the bridge too but it was raining quite hard at this point. We finished the drive up the 16 into Gorham and managed to find our hotel! I was impressed since we ...

... Welcome to New Hampshire! We won't be here long though as we are just passing through. There are great little towns here and I love the houses and White Birch Trees!

Second, Larry, the owner of the cottage, agreed to let Owen borrow his hiking boots. How fitting that Larry wears the same size shoe as Owen. And the luck keeps going. Yvonne, Larry's wife, wears the same size shoe as Hayley. Equipped with our apparel and map for tomorrow's hike, we called it a relatively early night, and retired ...

... noticed as we drove in to downtown Gorham was the railroad museum. Unfortunately it was closed by the time we got here. The rail line here is ex Grand Trunk. Now it's a G & W property, the St. Lawrence and Atlantic RR. I was told that trains run sporadically. I wish there was more to say, but after a full day of driving I'm tired and ready to just veg out for a bit. Until tomorrow, ...
