We had a relatively short drive through very agreeable Autumn foliage into the State of Maine. Our stay is in Rangeley, on the 45th parallel exactly half way between the Equator and the North Pole. Hiding out in The North Woods

The very early start at 4 am was a bit of a shock - very cold with crackly frost all over the grass and plant foliage. Our companions were a real hoot - Southern accents gave away their origins. Three sisters ...

... desperately tried to get a text through. The town was packed with people despite the constant drizzle and overcast fog we were having. It was hard to get down the street and even more difficult to find a parking space. We managed to park on Dockside by the boat dock in 2 hour parking and wandered up to the main street. Some kind men on the street suggested I try the coffee shop wifi which worked like a charm! Angi was able ...

... Welcome to New Hampshire! We won't be here long though as we are just passing through. There are great little towns here and I love the houses and White Birch Trees!
After a short drive...Maine! We are stopping just across the border. I am hoping this will be a state we visit for a while and I want to really enjoy JUST ...
