... we ducked into the pleasant town of North Conway, which is situated right on the southeastern corner of the White Mountains. Lunch at a local cafe - Frontside Grind - was SO tasty. ... noticed as we drove in to downtown Gorham was the railroad museum. Unfortunately it was closed by the time we got here. The rail line here is ex Grand Trunk. Now it's a G & W property, the St. Lawrence and Atlantic RR. I was told that trains run sporadically. It was of course closed for the season (there's a lot of that going on here) so we carrried on and fortunately happened upon another one and then another one which was an old railway bridge, the last still in regular use in Vermont.
