This morning was an early start (6 AM) to catch the TGV train to Geneva. We had to take the metro to Paris Lyon, where we bought lunch for on the train, and then caught it to Switzerland. ... Angela wowed us with fresh pizza. Mmmmm…felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant. Now that we knew where to get wine, we were on "sommelier duty" and she was the chef du jour! Once again she had us entranced with her European adventure stories, and had me making a mental note about all the Italian villages that we absolutely needed to visit.
Ahhh…I love "restaurant" nights!
... We checked out the big monument of Michelangelo too - they really like statues here. We did a LOT of walking in Milan on Monday - something like 27,000 steps and 11 or so miles. My feet hurt. The shopping is obviously amazing here - very high fashion! We went to a center called the Golden square - it had the highest end shopping you can imagine. I went into a Gucci store and thought maybe i would just get the smallest purse for myself but it was still $750.00 ...

We danced the night away to funky music from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s. When I finally got home at 2:30am I was had earned my sleep with hours on the dance floor.
