    ... a popular attraction in the summer time. They had lots of things set up for the Ironman which is due to happen this weekend so that was nice to see. We carried on up the road to the Mont-Tremblant Provincial Park.     ... tapping is usually done in March/April when they have had a freezing cold night and a warmerish day - the temperature difference needs to be at least 10 degrees. The maple water is extracted into buckets and taken to the boiler. It takes 40litres of evaporated maple water to make 1 litre of maple syrup! When we walked outside we could see the holes in the trees where they have been tapped over and over.
    I wish I had room to buy maple icecream from the gift shop ...

    Day 2 on the mountain was a much more pleasant experience as the temperature climbed a little. Still a balmy -15 degrees. It seemed like yesterday everyone wasn't having too much fun yesterday with all of the falling over so today I took some extra extra time and helped everyone individually and by midday they were all making it down the bigger bunny hill without falling over.

    ... and knuckled the jump super bad and only just pulled it back without stacking it. I left the park for the day and went back down to the bunny hill to check on everyone else.

    It was good to see that they had kept it up and pushed through and were all slowly improving. We grabbed some lunch and I hung out with them all for the rest of the day. The mountain closed at 3:30 which to me was absurd. ...
