    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    ... swimming in the Ionian Sea at Acharavi Beach, hanging around the swimming pool, taking a recommended walk just outside of Acharavi town. And that's exactly what we did.

    We took a walk along the meandering road upward and out of Acharavi village. Walking in among fluttering butterflies that settled time after time on my floral top, we had amazing views down into the woods and forests where streams bubbled and birds sang.
