    Waking up, after a frustrating night of sleep, to see that Notre Dame beat Michigan 31-0, made it a great start to a fabulous day! We enjoyed our "substantial Tyrollean breakfast" of yogurt, fruit, breads, pastries, Nutella, meats and cheeses before heading out to mass. The church here in Casterotto is massive. The 50 minute ride to Castelrotto (or Kastleruth in German) made everything better for me-- gorgeous, green Alp views with Swiss chalets dotted around everywhere.     ... was, and no sooner had he looked at it than those 2 little lights came on! Typical! However there was still a problem as the windscreen wipers were not working and in this heavy rain I needed them! So I left Lily with them and set off to the salt mines, having agreed to collect at 3pm. The salt mines were in walking distance so off I went.     ... moment I had an inkling of what it might be like to work for the Yukon Geological Survey - maybe I missed my true calling in life?     ... our hotel by around 4:30 pm, ready for showers and supper. I briefly contemplated suggesting that we go back up the Gaislachkogel gondola I and II, to the Ice Q restaurant (at over 3,000 metres) that had been our first stop up the mountain in the morning, but I don't have the right wardrobe for that place!
