      ... It started raining whilst sitting on the beach trying to enjoy above-mentioned Dominos pizza. Sky turned particularly dark. Had to vacate beach and rush back to hostel.

      - Lifeguards discourage swimming in sea due to high volume of jellyfish and waves were too choppy for mere paddlers/swimmers and not choppy enough for surfers. So, not even a surfer's paradise. Place name is a complete FAIL.

      ... the journey boasts panoramic views of the Gold Coast hinterland. It was simply breath-taking. We arrived at the rainforest retreat at 1:15pm and we were immediately greeted by a red-feathered parakeet. It isn't afraid of humans at all as it was walking amongst us. As we went further in, there were more of these feathered creatures and in different colours. There were some in red, blue and orange. It was such a joy to see them and it enthralled us all.       ... from the coast of Surfers Paradise. The tank was huge and so were the sharks! They had different species (bull sharks & …………) mixed in one tank with a range of different fish/ sting rays.

      We even had the chance to get up close to the sharks using a glass bottom boat floating over the top of the tank with these incredible creatures swimming below us. One false move and Darren could of fell into the tank ha ...

      ... frisked at close quarters by serious looking security officers. A container of mints in Nev's trousers set of the alarm on both occasions. When we got to the gate for the flight to Bangkok we found that there were few food outlets and other services in this newly completed section of the terminal.
