... that still had color on them. Greeks were not so white. They think everything was painted in bright colors. My kind of people. The countryside is mountainous, green and fertile. Orange grove after orange grove with ripe fruit on the trees. So excited cause next stop is free time in seaside town of Nafplio. Then our guide says " you have 30 min". So disappointed, but we still had time to find gelato shop recommended by Rick Steves and eating and enjoying ...

... are 857 steps in the
winding stair from the town to the fortress. However, to reach the top
of the fortress there are over one thousand. Locals in the town of
Nafplion will say there are 999 steps to the top of the castle, and
specials can be found on menus that incorporate this number to catch a
tourist's eye.To finish off the day we did a bit of shopping as the shops are all open until 9 or ...

Corinth harbor is a mile away, This is what they call an unadopted harbor, They got the money to build but ran out and it was never finished.There is water but the elect. is off a plug on the dock light post so we have to wait till dark to plug in. Atleast we will have fans running at night.

... as the previous night where this time I had swordfish souvlaki for dinner. I then headed to Syntagma Square to have a few more drinks with Thomas, Shelley, Ian, Chris and the bitrhday girl Ania. I managed to drink some ouzo, metaxa and a drink called Tipota (Greek for nothing), which was really nice.
Back to the hotel ata bout 1am for a few hours sleep, although not as many as I expected after the departure time was brought forward.
