Got up at 06:00 to watch timed practice to find that Sport 24 is on GMT so had to wait 3 hours, had breakfast in the cabin then went ashore. Having spent so much time in Athens working we couldn't get excited about doing much so we caught the metro into Athens from Piraeus and spent a couple of hours looking around Plaka, had a couple of beers and.some calamari before returning to the ship. When we were on the trains beggars would get on and announce their story for everyone to hear (in Greek obviously) then walk the isles asking for food/money. It was very sad.
