... before asking to taste it, the flavor of this was a surprise not to be missed. Marinated in wild oak tree honey and black truffle with Jerusalem artichokes puree. Every bite leaves an exquisite taste of satisfaction. €45.00.

We paired the above dish with an Agioritiko wine from the Palivos winery in Nemea. Dense aroma of black cherries and vanilla with hints of milk, chocolate and burnt wood. Bottle costs €47.00. Glass €13.00.

It was time to go home for a break before we went out for our last meal at a place called avocado, a delicious vegetarian/vegan restaurant serving yummy food, much of which is made from raw ingredients. After these lectures we checked out the Temple of Hephaistos and Dr. Freni said a few words about it, before we headed to the ...

... sight!   From here we headed through the national park to Zappelon Exhibition and congress hall and Hadrians arch. We had planned to save Filopapou Hill for the evening rather than climb it in the heat of the day but without realising we were half way up it so carried on to the top to see the monument of Filopapos and had an awesome view of the acropolis. After conducting our own free walking tour we decided to splash out and explore the Panathinaikon ...

... proximity to the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites. After lunch we were given tine to explore on out own. Around every corner there seems to be more ruins of some temple or ancient building. Many just in open lots. I guess when you have so many important ones the smaller ones are left alone. The tiny stores offer all sorts souvenirs and object of interest.

Dinner was on our own and we ended up at a non-touristy neighborhood restaurant and had a delicious ...
