Now it's back to the usual unpacking, laundry, bill payments and catching up on work -- and sleep. Since I was only away for ten days, there isn't all that much to do. Even my plants survived nicely due to the rainy weather. I really wasn't feeling ready to come home yet, but I'm very glad I managed to get the second leg of this trip in. Under the circumstances, it worked out as well as it possibly could have.

We left at 7am and drove to Mont Blanc ski resort. My favourite runs were Yodel, Panda and Suisse. They were all green runs, but Panda and Suisse were a bit harder. Lach, Soph and Dad had the stacks of the day . Lach's happened by his stock getting caught under his ski and went spinning and fell. Soph's happened by slipping on the ice then spun around. ... I really like in any if the other stores. So I went to the Christmas shop and pick out a gold coated maple leaf. Now I was hungry again, so I went looking for food. I found a smoked meat deli, ordered myself a sandwich and took it to go. I walk out to the old port, found a table sat and enjoy my sandwich. It was really good. The highlight of our morning in Montreal was the opportunity to explore Old Montreal with its shops, eateries and art galleries. We also visited the beautiful Basilica of Notre-Dame, inspired by its name sake in Paris. The Basilica holds daily Catholic Mass and we joined a conducted tour where an organist plays.
