Now, I mentioned above that Montreal is primarily French speaking. It would appear that I am not. I didn't put anywhere near as much work as I wanted to into my Mandarin last year, but that doesn't stop my thought process going as follows: OK, they are not speaking to me in English, but I can understand what they are saying. It's been a busy 48 hours in Montreal! We entered the city by train from Quebec on Thursday morning, rented a car, fired up the GPS, and have been exploring almost non-stop ever since. ... had a enjoyable meal which was neither quick nor cheap but we all laughed and said ‘Hey this can be our nice restaurant out for this part of our holiday’ and Zach was very well behaved which was a relief. After dinner we ended up chatting over wine and beers in the apartment and having an semi early night so we could hit the International Jazz Festival and do some sightseeing in Old Montreal tomorrow.
