One of the things I always wanted to do was to visit the Northeast of Brazil. Every Brazilian knows that this region is probably one of the poorest regions of the country but also one of the prettiest, full of natural beauty, like sand dunes and huge natural lakes. By this point it was safe to route for Germany who is the team we were routing for if Brazil didn't go through. Germany was playing the best soccer of their life and you could just tell, they were the ones who deserved to win. Netherlands we struggle with because they are an amazing team with amazing skill. Van Persie is an amazing player and Robben could be one of ...

... draped in a Costa Rican flag on my other side taunting the Uruguayans and the Italians because the Ticos beat both of them! I had sincere fear that were going to die! We got to our seats and once again we were lower level right behind the goalie. Perfect! The game starts and Uruguay fans are exploding with energy! Italy had a pretty good size showing as well! Sure enough, right out the gate Italy takes a couple of dives, and Bruce stands up with his ...

... on the beach with a giant tv screen for all to watch. We went through a security gate and soon we were in surrounded by hundreds of Brazil jerseys. There were a good number of Mexico fans as well, but most of the fans had moved onto the next stadium to follow the team, so a majority of Mexico fans had already left Natal. We navigated through the crowd and finally found our people. I was happy to see that Timi, Sarah and Mikey had found a place to sit right in front, because ...
