... on the horizon lighting up the beach. A good start. We looked out and the waves looked pretty small but still big enough for a non surfer. We set off and paddled out. As we paddled out, the waves started getting bigger and as each set smashed into us, I knew there was no chance I was catching one today. There wasn't even a small wave from the big sets that broke closer to shore and so unlike back home, there was only one wave per break and not ...

We had a late lunch ...

... dune and the headland bent around in front of the city before heading back around to a small sand dune reserve park. We found a spot right between the major restaurants and bars set along the beach to avoid the crowds and got straight into our usual rotisserie sun baking taking frequent dips into the water. A hawker came around selling dresses for 10reais and he obviously hooked Leesh on that bargain and she got a new casual dress. We grabbed ...

    Long transit day to Natal

A travel blog entry by tnanoble on May 26, 2015

... to watch on the long bus ride. We jumped on the bus at 1200 and started the long trip to Natal. We watched Despicable Me 2 and had a few laughs as we picked away at some snacks before both squeezing in a nap. The bus ride took so long and as usual, stopped every half hour to an hour to pick people up and drop people off. So annoying especially when you stop twice in one small town when they could just make the effort to get to the bus station and save an extra stop along the ...
