... s' office is located and around to get inside the Cathedral of the Annunciation built in 1480's. we also walked past an extremely large bell that had cracked when it was being made and therefore never been used. ... and I went inside the State Tretyakov Gallery to see a large exhibition of Russian artwork; well worth a visit.

For food that night we had a very nice but late meal in an Italian restaurant not too far from our hotel.

On our final day in Moscow we decided to visit a pedestrianized area that contained a lot of souvenir shops, among other things. Diney was the first to have to leave, so we walked her to a metro stop to see her off.

... shaky start, things have markedly improved during our stay!

It has taken us a while to warm to the city because (this may sound cliche) it does appear grey; minimal customer service is provided to English tourists; the cars look older than most of the living and prehistoric buses get pulled around on a web of electricity cables that hardly look able to power a light bulb!
