... wet my shoes and had cold feet all day....some kids just never grow up! We went to a sweet museum about Montreal back in the day when women's ankles caused car crashes. Apparently Montreal was quite the hub of brothels, underground gambling and sin in general. Our last outing was a metro trip to the Biodome! It's sorta hard to explain what the Biodome is but it's pretty much an indoor zoo with a heap of animals n plants n stuff. ...

Did a bit more walking around the Old Town, then asked a local how to get to the subway, and he was kind enough to go out of his way and walk us there. It was simply too cold for Terry to stand still for a couple of minutes to read our map. Went to the underground shops for lunch, and it was faint-inducingly hot.
Caught another subway to the Jean-Talon markets, full of fresh ...
... cathedral I have ever visited.
We could have got the Metro home but we decided to walk and this meant having to leave the comfort of the underground tunnel network. So we walked for 30 minutes or so in the pouring rain and got very wet. It was ok though as we knew soon we would be home and could take off our wet clothes.

... the last few years. Kev was keen to check out where the show was taking place in town even though all the tickets were already sold out and there wasn't really any chance of attending. We were staying on St Laurent st which is what the locals call "main street" and used to be the main street back in the day. Montreal reminded us a lot of Melbourne in Australia, except instead of just a few areas like Fitzroy being 'hipster' or 'cool' neighbourhoods, most of Montreal ...
... about the apt in the morning, then went over to Tim Horton's to pick up mail and find a hotel for the next day. Sue does not have any WiFi. The afternoon was spent at the island sitting in the shade, doing laundry, and reading, while Sue read her book in her bedroom. For dinner, we went to the Olde Orchard Pub in Point Claire Village.
