So much to do, so little time

Thanks to National day holiday and rearranged schedules I had 6 days in a row off school - bliss! I stayed at home and did a little exploring, but mostly just relaxed, read and watched movies thanks to Netflix.

The unfortunate consequence of all that was that I had to teach on Wed, which would normally be my day off, and was unable to meet Carol & Don for their return stopover.

They managed to get their way to my ...

Spent the morning exploring Yuexiu Park were the locals were exercising, relaxing, play games, singing etc.

I thought I'd go to the airport via subway. It was so easy and cost only a couple of dollars.

Local were dancing, exercising, playing games, singing etc. A common game being played is 4 or 5 people keeping a weighted shuttle cock with their feet. Ladies exercise by swinging arms ...

The train was meant to have arrived at Beijing at 8:30 AM but it was more like 11 AM which made Matt anxious as he now only had 75 minutes to catch the subway to Beijing South, pickup his prepaid ticket and catch the bullet train.

The central railway station is the older style sprawling building with lots of people and minimal signage. I knew there was a bus that left from here to the airport, after a few mis-directions I eventually found the bus terminus in a nearby small ...

Deep Thoughts on School and a Mountain

... suspects when it came to the teachers playing. They are a good group of guys, and it’s always a good time with them. Besides, as a side bonus, when school is in session, the fact we have this relationship through basketball, we end up saying, “Hello,” or giving some form of acknowledgement when we pass. It seems silly, but it makes me at least feel more welcomed.
