... with castle and some Roman ruins but it's now mostly a nature reserve. It's probably most famous for the 40 virgins who tied their hair together and threw themselves off the cliffs rather than being ravaged by the invading Ottomans...

We have really enjoyed this bit of Bulgaria. The weather could have been kinder but in the summer this area could be a really nice holiday (if your a golfer!).

As we checked out I asked the nice receptionist, who looked to be in his 40's, how do you live here? I don't came the instant reply, I only work here. Warning any night in Sozopol between mid May and mid September may seriously damage your health (hearing!).
