    Of course directly after we checked in, it was time for our afternoon nap. After which we got ourselves a tasty pastry treat snack, I got to say Spanakopita (one of my few Greek words). We attempted to roam the streets for a bit, but it was just too hot. So we headed back to the hotel to cool off.     ... the scooters and quads and hence stay alive. The roads here are busy, narrow and winding as can be imagined when you know that the island is part of the side of a huge extinct volcano and full of young people driving. Those white washed buildings with the blue roofs on steep cliffs that Santorini is famous for are built on the internal wall of the now collapsed/sunken volcano, creating a huge caldera (crater lake) except of course the rim is incomplete and now forms a rough ring ...

    ... be on this particular day however the natural hot springs were indeed fully functional. The best bit was that we had to jump off the sail boat and swim from the ocean into the cove where the springs were to be located.
