... It was a great experience and one which I won't forget. So today we used the second day of our bus pass and did the beach tour, starting at Jumerirah Mosque. We joined the tour which was outstanding, it simplified Islam and the Muslim religion into a language which I could understand, and to be completely honest a lot of what was said made perfect sense. ... to read and learn a lot about Dubai and how it has developed so quickly. Tuesdays are ladies night in Dubai so we had to experience this. We went out for tea and some cheap cocktails at a place called the observatory which overlooks the 5km long palm island. The view was only made better by the sun setting over the ocean. After a horrendous flight, we arrived in Dubai. The flight was incredibly bumpy and Bradden got food poisoning half way through, resulting in him vomiting for 10 hours straight! Including 4 hours after we landed! It took 2 hours to get through the airport, and a lovely man asked us as soon as we walked out if we'd like a taxi. Turned out he drove a van for tours. Never mind! He didn't mind Bradden vomiting into a bag in the front seat and even pulled over to buy him a bottle of water! We ...

Today was an opportunity to visit another Emirate, as a visa run needed to be done to complete all requirements for the family to all be Residents of The UAE, so we jumped at the chance Guessing competition = see who can count 10 camels first. I counted the most goats first, but missed seeing the 2 camels on the side of the road, close to the car. "Are you blind or what?" was the chorus from within the car. They should have already ...
