So, yesterday, started at 7:30 when Caroline and I had decided to meet for breakfast. I came out of my room to find her sitting outside hers. She had already been on her run and looked famished. While our hotel does provide breakfast, both of us thought that it might be a good idea to go to the beach. So we headed out. We got to the place that we frequent a lot, Cafe Trawangan, and ordered food. Today was the first day of Caroline's diving instruction, and she ...

We arrived on Lembagon and got taken to our hotel. Annabelle worked some of her magic to get the price cut by 100,000 Rp. It was a lovely traditional Indonesian bungalow. With the rest of them turning up throughout the evening, the latest being around 3 am I think, meaning I felt a little under-reasted this ...

... nearby Mount Agung, Bali's highest mountain and volcano. There was a heavy rain shower when we arrived and could only find shelter with a few chickens outside a small shop. Even they don't like to get wet!

We settled into our Balinese bungalow and planned our next few days in the area. Another reason we came here was to snorkel two ship wrecks that are unique in that they lie in ...

... on the beach serves anything else than seafood. Yes- as you can gather, I'm not a Senggigi lover- we planned to stay there 4 days, ran away after 1 night. Talking to expats living in Indonesia after our great escape from there - they share our feelings for this 'great beach destination' according to Lonely Planet. We got a boat from Gili T to Lombok with a transfer to Senggigi. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by a rather ...
