... nearby Mount Agung, Bali's highest mountain and volcano. There was a heavy rain shower when we arrived and could only find shelter with a few chickens outside a small shop. Even they don't like to get wet!

We settled into our Balinese bungalow and planned our next few days in the area. Another reason we came here was to snorkel two ship wrecks that are unique in that they lie in ...

... anyway, but that's maybe it is so-called a 'low season' in here- so called as there are still ppl everywhere- pub, beach, swimming, riding bikes (there are no cars or motorbikes in here), getting a massages etc. compared to Bali- in my opinion Gili T wins- no crazy prices, chillout vibe and... one of the best ice cream I've ever had- cinnamon flavor. It was a really close game but unfortunately for Dad he lost and was the ...

We were recommend to come here by many sources, not too much for its town but for what's going on underwater. The Liberty shipwreck sank over 60 years and it now attracts divers worldwide for its colonies of species calling it a home. Most people dive but we thought we'd snorkel to save money. It was a disappointment for ...

Off we went on the fast boat to Gili T. This island is like a quieter more unspoilt Phi Phi. No cars or motorbikes, only horse and cart or bicycles along the dust tracks- there are no roads!! I just loved it from the very first moment we got off the boat! On our first afternoon, we somehow managed to walk halfway around the island! We just kept going and going- it was boiling! Eventually we realised we weren't going to make it around the island and got a horse and ...
