Historical Traveler Reviews Emerald Shores Hotel Daytona Beach
We staryed at the Emerald Shores hotel the week of June 18th. We really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel was very clean and all of the staff was very helpful anytime we needed anything. It was very quiet while we were there even though there were a lot of people staying at the hotel. We stayed on the second floor overlooking the pool and we never heard any noises at night. The room is large and the bathroom is extremely large. There is a nice kitchenette that comes equipped with most everything you would need to cook something. The balcony is nice also and there are sliding glass doors that go outside. The pool deck is big and there are alot of chairs and tables with umbrellas. It also has a hot tub which we used a few times. This hotel is on the quieter end of the beach and is surrounded by mostly condos. We would definately stay at Emerald Shores again.
Great time at Emerald Shores
I've been vacationing in Daytona Beach for years. The hotel that I had been staying at has been going down hill. I decided to try Emerald Shores. When I arrived to check in I saw a familar face ,hotel manager Ahmad Bourbour. I had stayed at his hotel a few years back, went back the following year but he was gone. Ahmad's the best in the business. I had arrived early and he had me and my family in our room within the hour. The rooms are bigger than the average hotel room and so was the bathroom. Excellent view of the ocean from the balcony. I had a room with a kitchen and full size refrigrator. It was equipped with utenzils, coffee maker and microwave. It has an average size pool and hot tub. The pool deck is large has plenty of seating. I'll be staying there next year.
WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN!!
We choose this hotel for a weekend getaway to the beach. We arrived 2 hours prior to check in and our room was ready and check in was very quick. They honored my request for a room on a high floor with no problem. The room was clean and the view of the beach was gorgeous. The balconies are private. We had a mini efficiency with mini fridge and microwave which was convenient. Will defientely stay here again!!!!
Loved the clean white floors
We stayed at the Emerald Shores during 2006 race week and we loved it. The rooms are very nice, with lots of room and comfortable beds. The balcony was a nice size and it was relaxing to sit and watch the ocean. The pool is kept very clean also.
We had beautiful weather while we were there so we were able to take advantage of the pool and beach during our stay. The hotel was full and lots of guests were walking in and out of the hotel lobby from the pool and the beach. The lobby is white with white shiny floors, and the floor was kept spotless, even with all the beach traffic.
I was impressed!
My husband and I spent our 15 wedding anniversary in Daytona. We stayed at the Emerald Shores Hotel and loved it. The entire place was very clean and neat. The hotel staff was over pleasant. They greeted us from the time we arrived and everytime we enter in and out the hotel. We made reservations over the phone and everything was exactly as stated on the phone. Peaches, the housekeeper for the 4th floor was very kind. She made sure we had clean towels and washclothes each day. We are making plan to visit again in Sept 2005. Great hotel if you really want to relax and get away from the party crowd.
Great New Hotel with Excellent Location and Service
We stayed during Memorial Day weekend and this hotel offered the best rates. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were cute (we had a suite with a kitchenette). Oceanfront rooms have huge balcany.
Nice place for Daytona Beach
Emerald Shores was very clean and spacious. I love how big the rooms and bathrooms were. Right on the beach. We did not get the room we wanted. I asked for at least the 3rd floor and got the 2nd. But we did
get the efficiency which I did not ask for. It seems everyone checking in was not getting the room they booked. But over all a clean nice place to stay. I was worried when I got to Daytona Beach and saw all the dumps
they called motels. And last the maids speak english and are not foreign.
Emerald Shores Hotel
Just returned home from a beautiful stay in Daytona Beach May 21-27, 2005. We stayed at the Emerald Shores Hotel, a practically new hotel in Daytona Beach Shores. I can't say enough about our stay. It was comfortable. Granted it's not a 5 star resort but it had what we needed. We arrived early and checked in at 1:30pm. Room was exactly as pictured on their website; which by the way, is a good representation of the hotel. We had a 7th floor end room so we had a window on the side that also viewed the ocean. The efficiency was a blessing to have. We fixed breakfast for ourselves every morning and headed to the beach. If you plan on cooking alot, you might want to bring along your own pans, they had a real cheap set of pans (which I expected) but only a very small skillet. I went and bought a big one to use, so be concious of what you might need as far as cooking. There were only 2 burners on the stove top, nice refrigerator, but no counter space. We did have to get on housekeeping the first couple of nights but the management made sure our room was cleaned thoroughly every day after that. They never swept the floor the first couple of nights and one day they never even cleaned our room but part of that was our fault because we didn't take the do not disturb sign off till after 3pm. However management said that was still unacceptable, the housekeeper should have knocked on the door to see if we needed anything. The management was very kind. Made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, the trip was wonderful. The beach was fairly quiet in front of the hotel so that was nice. We spent alot of time at the pool and hot tub. Both were clean and well kept. Chairs were straightened up every day during the week. For $86 a night with an oceanfront view I will never complain. Would I stay again? Absolutely!
Hotel is brand new, so the rooms are clean, but the people running this place are idiots. Plus there is no where to eat around the hotel. The hotel does not have a bar/restaurant and you are in the middle of condo row.
A new place that is a wonderful get-a-way!!
My husband and I stayed at Emerald Shores Hotel from January 5th to the 13th. This hotel is just 6 months old and a wonderful place to stay. I can't stress enough how clean everything was from the lobby, to the elevator, to the floor hallways.
Other good points about this hotel are:
*They offer efficiencies w/full refridgerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, plates, pots, pans, and utencils.
*The rooms were a comfortable size. We had 2 queen beds and had enough room for toys for our son and a play pen.
*Oceanfront rooms right on the ocean with nice private balconies. We were lucky enough to have a corner room w/an extra window for a panoramic view of the ocean.
*Daily housekeeping w/friendly staff who is more than willing to take care of all your needs.
*Outdoor heated pool and hot tub.
*Clean and nice sized outdoor patio w/enough chairs for everyone that are straightened out and cleaned each day.
*Friendly staff and front desk people.
*Small game room for kids.
I think that is about it. This was trully an enjoyable place to stay and very very affordable. I believe the rates are 65.00 a night for this time of year. On top of it, it was nice to stay somewhere clean and neat that you didn't feel like you had to clean up yourself before you could settle in.
To anyone wondering about this new gem, check it out, you won't regret it. My husband, son, and I had a great time and hope to go back agian next year!!!!

Louia (our cab driver) had a great personality and drove us from Daytona to Fort Laurderdale with a stop in Melbourne. He took Sapna & Divya to Miami.
On the way to Fort Laurderdale, we had brunch with Pamilla who prepared a feast.
We leave on the Eastern Caribbean cruise on 17/05. No access to technology for a week.
We will soak up the sun and catch up with reading.
