... Daytona's British cousin) - arcades, hotels, loads of touristy beachside shops and fairground rides in a place called "Joyland". Daytona has bikers driving up and down everywhere and has a speedway (race track) and a bike week festival, so I guess people come to visit for driving. Excited that we had booked a nice hotel - we pulled in and ... oh my giddy aunt!!! What a place. Priceline has been great this entire trip and we have relied on the photos, reviews, star ...

After a final walk around Key West to some of the famous tourist spots - Hemingway's house, end of Hwy A1A, and a picture at the Southern Most point in the continental US (just 90 miles to Cuba), we hit the road north. A stop at Biscayne Bay NP was a nice stop, and again we seemed to have the park to ourselves. Most of this park is also underwater, but we saw a few videos at the visitors center, and walked along a few of the boardwalks. We saw a ...

... way back to our hotel. We had dinner and drinks and The Smoking Tuna and listen to some great live music. They have a web cam always on the stage, so if you want a little taste of Key West, Google Smoking Tuna and enjoy a little of Key West. Our day ended on the beach next the hotel, sitting on chairs with our feet in the sand, looking at the stars. A short time in Key West, but we will be back. ... the 10th floor overlooking the Daytona beach and Joe's pier. It was a spectacular view around us, both beach & street side. We had 2 double beds in a large room. It was still warm, 83* and the sun breaking thru the clouds. We made most of it being dry and went for a walk along the beach towards the pier. Andy went in the sea, surf was well up & had some big waves coming in. He didn't go out too far, easily seeing it was rough out there. It was not too far to walk ...

... with reminiscing about our families in South Africa.

Louia (our cab driver) had a great personality and drove us from Daytona to Fort Laurderdale with a stop in Melbourne. He took Sapna & Divya to Miami.

On the way to Fort Laurderdale, we had brunch with Pamilla who prepared a feast.
We leave on the Eastern Caribbean cruise on 17/05. No access to technology for a week.
We will soak up the sun and catch up with reading.
