... giant red cypress trees, so they have built elevated walkways to put you up higher amongst the trees. Some of these trees were 1000 years old or more. ... for us, then they had a tea expert ( male) come to prepare tea for us. Lots of tea has been planted on the mountain, because the high altitude produces wonderful tea. All vegetables planted on the mountain are much sweeter than those elsewhere in Taiwan and the water is lovely spring water. ... The highways in Taiwan are fantastic. Instead of following the ups and downs of the land, they have built their roads up high on concrete pylons, so to drive you are going straight and level. This makes travelling so much faster. On the way we went close to the coast and they had a large wind farm there to take advantage of the sea breezes.
