    ... where the wall cast a nice shadow over the river. Using some ingenious devices, they were able to anchor us to that wall & we began our wait. After a bit we spotted a jet boat but it wasn't ours. Unfortunately its wake caused us to become unmoored & we floated out to the hot sun again.     ... the piano with his feet at one point! Afterwards we headed straight to Aquaknox, a fancy fish restaurant in the Venetian for dinner. As we discussed which appetisers we could share, Colin insisted on his own bowl of mussels which proved to be an ill-fated decision.     ... at the airport so the check in time is a bit less. Checkout you can do via internet or just by filling out a form, very good service.

    We went to the Believe Show with Cris Angel the first evening in the Luxor hotel, It was fun to see the famous Cris Angel. The show was OK, not great great, but got to see some good tricks. Next time we will try to see Copperfield perhaps or the O by Cirque du Soleil.

    ... most of the area would be sealed off. It's a really popular place for people to hike and rock climb, and it was fun to spot some people in the distance abseiling down a sheer rock face.
    One really interesting part, was that apart for our own voices, it was silent in the desert. You couldn't hear anything else, not the trees rustling, not a cricket chirping---- nothing. It was almost eery when Gerry pointed this out, but there is as much beauty ...
